I am sure everyone knows by now I am not good at blogging :).  It is August already ... time flies so fast.

My garden is not as fruitful as it was last year but I still enjoy it.
The only thing what did grow very big were the sunflowers.  We did enjoy for several weeks the sound of the goldfinches visiting us having breakfast lunch and dinner at our place:

I worked on a petit point pillow order, the top two pillows, the bottom ones are also sold already:

And then I prepared for the Miniature Show Online what will open today.  I made several new crochet pieces:  some half inch scale bedspreads,

some crochet pillows:

and several doilies :

This year I also enjoy the evening walks and the tea with my neighbours,  it is the first time I have good friends in Turkey... maybe because it is only now that I retired that I have time for friends :)

Last week we went to some places to buy plants and flowers for the garden,

so now my garden is ready for spring:

In some weeks it will be time to plant the vegetables, so now we are finishing the winter crops of leeks, celery and beets ...and we all enjoy the sunny days:

And now back to miniature work!

Even in winter time goes fast, March already.

We had a nice sunny winter only the last week we had several days of rain.

I have been working in the garden, working on crochet: I started working on a new Afghan - the other one sold -a colorful ripple Afghan this time.   And also working on an embroidery order:

For the rest just cooking and enjoying home.

We went for a walk with some friends, it is amazing ,only 30 minutes from home but we were in the middle of nature.  It was very nice although I did feel very tired afterwards :)

 Also enjoying the sheep and the lambs: view from my garden, at least this is less tiring :)

Afghan finished

I have an embroidery order waiting, but will start a new challenge in crochet soon.

It is almost February and we had not yet much of a winter here, in some weeks spring will officially start here.

The garden is full of winter vegetables: leeks, celery, beets, radishes, onions and salad greens.

Lambs were on the back of our garden and of course we had to cuddle one :)

winter again ...

Since more than a week it is really winter now.  Rainy days, colder - this moment 16C, nights about 8C, what is maybe not bad for you but after all those Months of sunshine it is different...but I am still lucky, when the sun shines we can sit outside in the afternoon all winter.

Any way we had a beautiful rainbow last week, it was a double one but when I came back with my camera the biggest one was fading away fast.

And for my miniature friends:  I wanted to prove for myself I can do a multi colored granny piece, so I started - already some weeks ago now - an Afghan/blanket.
I can work on it outside when the sun shines or evenings when my DH watches television.
In the beginning I really needed to force myself to go on and not give up.  It is not really what I do usual :)
So I called it my exercise of patience.  I am over half of it now. and start having fun making it.
Sometimes it takes me longer to decide about the next color to use than making the next square.
Sorry the picture is a bit blurry, I promise a better one when finished.  I need new batteries for my camera ... the only bad part of living in a very quiet place without having a car: it takes some organisation to do shopping!

 a Christmas stocking:  I made some the years before, because I never write down how I make something they are always a little different.  I am very happy with how this one turned out.

A Christmas tree skirt, I wish I had a Christmas tree to make a nice picture 'with tree'

and at last a piece I made last year.  It was a lot of work. I really like it but don't think I will make another one soon :)

My family left, almost a week ago and I am still recuperating.
We had a lot of fun and plans are made to have them back here next year!
